How come obssessive videogames and console fanboys don't count as having Asperger's syndrome?
I notice that if some kid is obssessed with something say the Star Wars, psychiatrists instantly label him as having Asperger's syndrom and being mentally disabled.But..There are tons of regular people who have obssessions witha particular subject but never gets clified as mentally ill with Asperger's syndrome! For example,at my high school, half the boys are completely obssessed with the videogame Halo. They would often literally spend whole hours talking about Halo!In fact, they are such freaks that they literally only wear clothes with the Halo brand. But they are considered normal!Another good example would be football fans(especially amateur high school players). At my high school kids clified as normal would often stop yapping about football! If they are completely obssessed with football, why aren't they clified as Asperger Syndrome people? And about anime fan.Nearly every one of them can't stop talking about anime. So,wouldn't over half the world be clified with Asperger's syndrome(especially since billions of people play soccer,a sport so many people are obsessed with that not only do they talk about soccer all day,but they even start riots when their favorite team loses)!?
