Why hasn't the lawsuit filed against Obama been resolved?

Philip J. Berg (democrat) filed a lawsuit against Obama about 2 months ago. Why hasn't Obama provided the courts with doents to prove he's a U.S. citizen and eligible to be president? Why did Obama and the DNC file a joint motion to dismiss Berg's lawsuit? Why not simply prove that Obama is eligible and that the birth certificate given to various websites is not fake?
