Did the Native Am. think they were being invaded when the first settlers arrived with their wives and children?

Probably not. They didn't have borders or countries, and had no concept of the private ownership of land or resources. They probably didn't feel invaded until the first settlers actually took their personal property or killed their tribesmen.
